初診の女性の内科的診察が行われます。
診察椅子へ腰掛けて貰い、聴診、触診等を行いましょう。
ドクターは、ゴム手袋をパチン、パチンと言わせながら、嵌めて行きます。
「では、楽にして下さいね。心音等を聴いてみましょうか。」

Cardiac Exam : Auscultation
Procedure
1. Position the patient at 30-45 degrees.
2. Make sure the area being examined is exposed, and never auscultate through the gown.
3. Place the stethoscope in the defined anatomical landmarks (Figure 1). A good rule of thumb to find the second intercostal space is to locate the angle of Louis (manubriosternal joint), which is at this level. Palpate across and down with your fingers to locate the other intercostal spaces described.
と言う訳で、適切なポイントを探して、心音を聴きます。場所により、心音は異なります。ううむ、少し速いでしょうか。丁寧に聴いて行きますが、雑音は無いようです。ペタペタと、聴診器を胸に当てて行きます。

聴診
The lymphatic system has two main functions: to return extracellular fluid back to the venous circulation and to expose antigenic substances to the immune system. As the collected fluid passes through lymphatic channels on its way back to the systemic circulation, it encounters multiple nodes consisting of highly concentrated clusters of lymphocytes. Most lymph channels and nodes reside deep within the body and, therefore, are not accessible to physical exam. Only nodes near the surface can be inspected or palpated. Lymph nodes are normally invisible, and smaller nodes are also non-palpable. However, larger nodes (>1 cm) in the neck, axillae, and inguinal areas are often detectable as soft, smooth, movable, non-tender, bean-shaped masses imbedded in subcutaneous tissue.
リンパ腺等が腫れていないか、触診します。
顎周りのリンパ腺を、触診します。腋下は、後程触診しましょう。免疫が低下すると、リンパ腺が腫れたりします。又、深刻な病気が潜んでいる場合もあります。丁寧に、触診しておきます。
更に腹部の触診も行います。
